Don't forget to vote!

Election day is one week from today. I can't believe it. I can't stand the wait. In one week (and some change) we'll know if our country is heading for change or four more years of the same. In one week (and now less change) we'll know if the country is serious about healing itself or if it is going to continue to wallow in its own cesspool of ignorance.

I want to have hope. I want to be optimistic. But I've been optimistic before and it got me four more years of Bush. Hell, my optimism got me the first four years of Bush when Bush stole the election from Gore.

And that is a good lesson for all of us to learn from. We can not become complacent. We have to vote. We can not let the Republican't party steal another election. But if people don't go vote, it can happen again. If Obama doesn't win by a resounding percentage - the 'can'ts can still yet another election.

Please don't let this happen. Don't let your guard down thinking "we have it in the bag, I don't need to vote." You do. For sure. So make sure you get out and do your part to ensure the Republicants can't.
