Our nation has lowered to high-school level tactics. Instead of addressing what is actually wrong, the government and the media are doing what they do best - spin everything. Only this time they aren't trying to spin a negative issue into a positive issue. This time they are spinning 90 degrees so the big issues aren't even addressed. Let's see:

A failed war that is gouging our nations' economy.
Failed big corporations being rescued by the government (which will eventually cost the average citizen.)
An economy that is not showing any signs of improvement.
An overall feeling of desperation that has gripped the country.

You see, there are big, big issues to deal with. And we, as voters, need to know how each candidate would deal with this big isues. Instead we are having to watch a circus unfold that is serving no purpose.

Seriously. Think about it. What good is it doing us to have to listen to anything other than a politicians platform? Oh, I'm sorry - I forogt - the United States and its people really only want a president they can drink a bear with. The average citizen wants someone they can crack jokes with, watch the big game with, and someone who is going to make them feel smarter.

Not me. I want a president who is going to make me feel stupid. I want a president that is going to shame my intelligence. I want a president I KNOW, beyond a shadow of a doubt, could take me to school on practically any topic.

And I want a president who is going to both earn and command my respect. I want the principle of my high school - the man who everyone feared because they knew he was their superior. I don't want a president who I think I could probably take down in a match of wits and wisdom.

No Jethro. No Jeb. No Gomer.

I want brains. I want someone who is going to be able to think and rationalize instead of reaching for their favorite toy - the Army. Because this toy is for real. It's not a play set that has no consequences when used.

And I want someone who is not going to use their religious beliefs as a platform. We've had enough of Theocracy in this country. It never worked before and it isn't working now. Religion is a moral code - not a political dogma.

So you see - what I want is for this country to wake up and realize that John McCain is not any of these things. John McCain was once a big adversary of the current president that has put our great nation into this state of panic. Thanks to his reactionary vision our current president has forced us into a war we should never have been involved in. And if McCain is elected that war will continue. The economy will continue to tank. The moral of the country will continue to plummet.

I want Obama and Bidin. But I'm afraid the ignorance of this country is going to prevail and all the uber conservative, racist, homophobic voters are going to crawl out of the woodwork and ensure this country "stays the course". Well, the course is nothing but a disaster waiting to sink this country. And if you're okay with that - you're okay with McCain.
