Obama/Bidin

It's been a while since I posted a blog. There has been plenty to chat about I'm sure. I guess ultimately I have been so busy working, keeping a sane peaceful home, and continuing to grow myself that I haven't had a lot of time to post. But I thought I should say something about the recent Joe Bidin choice for the Obama campaign.

At first I have to confess that I was a bit surprised by the choice. I was happy that Obama didn't select Gov. Bayh from Indiana. Indiana isn't terribly well know for being forward-thinking in any possible way. But then when Bidin was selected my first reaction was "Oh shit...a perfect target for the right-wing reactionaries". But the more I thought about it the more I realized Bidin is a perfect choice. Why? Easy.

Bidin is an attack dog for Obama. This is one of the reasons Clinton had trouble in the end. As much as I love Gore (and would vote for him in a heartbeat), Gore was too soft to defend his president when push came to shove. Bidin won't have that problem. Bidin will bite the heads off of anyone crossing President Obama's path in the wrong way.

Bidin is also a champion for the lower and middle class. That is exactly what this country needs. No matter what the Bush administration will tell you, what we need is for the power to shift back to those that have worked their fingers off and deserve said power: the lower and middle classes. After all we are the majority and we have been walked on long enough. I think Bidin will do everything he can to reclaim that power for those who should have it.

Bidin is also the intellectual equal to Obama. When Clinton/Gore were in the white house we had an intelligent administration. And it showed. Since Bush/McCain have ruled we've been under the guidance of a pair of nitwit drinking buddies. Now we have a chance to reverse that.

Bidin has experience. Tons of it. He's run for president twice and has been a senator for as long as I can remember. He'll bring the missing piece to the puzzle for Obama.

Last night we watched the movie Lions for Lambs. If ever you needed a reminder of how we have been manipulated over the past 8 years this is your wake up call. Watch this movie and then understand how we, as a country, have been duped by our leaders.

Okay, that's it for now. I will try again to make more of an effort to keep you posted.
