The headline says it all. The Bush administration, in its infinite idiocy, decided they didn't want to deal with the EPAs new laws on greenhouse gasses so they just decided not to open the email that informed them of the laws.

Here's the first paragraph of the nytimes.com story (NOTE: You have to be registered to read the content):

The White House in December refused to accept the Environmental Protection Agency’s conclusion that greenhouse gases are pollutants that must be controlled, telling agency officials that an e-mail message containing the document would not be opened, senior E.P.A. officials said last week.

Apparently the white house pressured the EPA to remove certain analysis from the original findings...

Hmmm...sounds familiar. Just like the Bush administration to remove any incriminating evidence. This is probably the very reason why the sociopath is still in office - he withholds anything and everything that would find his hinder on the street joining the ever-growing ranks of the unemployed in the country.
