Obama/Bidin

It's been a while since I posted a blog. There has been plenty to chat about I'm sure. I guess ultimately I have been so busy working, keeping a sane peaceful home, and continuing to grow myself that I haven't had a lot of time to post. But I thought I should say something about the recent Joe Bidin choice for the Obama campaign.

I'm Life (at 41)

One of my favorite bands, The Fixx, sums it with

I'm life watching I think I can
Measure the flow I could swim that river
I'm fast breeding I think I have
No cruise control I can't stop the spiral
I'm life...
I'm sand, wave blown in the air
I come down in raindrop
Time passing I think I know we'll meet again
We can climb the mountain

Happy Anniversary...US

Today marks two glorious years that Stephanie and I have been married. And I can't tell you how happy I am for it. You know a marriage is right when the second year bests the first. That's us. Two odd peas in an odd podd.

Stares

For the longest time I always assumed the ONLY reason people stare at me is because of the clothing I choose to wear. When most people see a man in a skirt or a dress they do stare. Why? It's outside the norm. It's certainly not because I look silly or bad - I wouldn't step outside if I looked bad. I just look different.

In-dependence day

So tomorrow is the fourth of July. Most people break out the big hoohaa with fireworks and such. But most don't realize that the independence was originally from tyranny and corruption.

So riddle me this: how do we celebrate independence when we are currently governed by an administration who could be considered tyrannical (not just Bush but the administration as a whole) and is certainly corrupt.

Of course, the way I see it, holidays in the US really aren't for celebrating a cause or a bit of history as much as they are an excuse to get off work and get drunk.

Why are people filled with such hatred?

People, people who claim to be such Christians often have the most hate-filled hearts. Take this prime example. A while ago ABC aired a follow-up story about a family who discovered their son should have been born their daughter. It was a very touching story about a mother and father truly accepting their child because they love that child. Here is a description of the original article:

Born With The Wrong Body: One Year Later (taken from abcnews.com).

Obama gets it

So I just read on CNN.com that, if elected, Obama would raise taxes on the wealthy. And by wealthy he means any person making $200,000 or more and any married couple making $250,000 or more would be taxed more than those of us making less (which is a vast majority of people.) To that I have to say:

IT'S ABOUT TIME!

White House Refused to Open Pollutants E-Mail

The headline says it all. The Bush administration, in its infinite idiocy, decided they didn't want to deal with the EPAs new laws on greenhouse gasses so they just decided not to open the email that informed them of the laws.

Googlebomb John McCain

In only 19 days since its launch, Chris Bowers is pleased to announce that Searching for John McCain is making significant headway. Of the eighteen keyword and article combinations we are targeting, thirteen of the eighteen are now in the top fifty, and fifteen of the eighteen are rising in the rankings. Here is a progress report for all nine articles and two keyword searches, compared to where each ranked eleven days ago:
